PURCHASING A KITTEN
DEPOSITS
All kittens require a minimum deposit of £250.00 each, this is reserve/secure your purchase. Unfortunately due to timewasters in the past, the deposit is non-refundable. However if you are serious with your intention to purchase and home a kitten, the non- refundable deposit shouldn’t be an issue. The balance is to be paid in cash on the day of collection or by bank transfer seven days prior, so that the bank transfer clears into our bank account. We reserve the right to refuse a sale and to withdraw a kitten from being for sale. If the kitten that is withdrawn from sale has been reserved, an alternative kitten will be offered. If we are unable to provide you with the same colour & sex kitten you requested, a refund of the deposit would be considered. If you have reserved a kitten in advance of a litter being born, if we are unable to provide you with the kitten you requested, then we would offer you a alternative kitten from another litter or a full refund of your deposit. If the kitten reserved hasn’t been collected by the time it reaches thirteen weeks of age, unless previously agreed with us. The deposit will be forfeited & the kitten will be re-advertised/sold. If a holiday clashes with a collection date, we are prepared to hold the kitten until the kitten can be collected. There is a weekly boarding fee of £40.00 per week for every week that the kitten remains with us once it has reached twelve weeks of age. The boarding fee has to be paid in advance prior to the kitten reaching twelve weeks of age. We also request that remaining balance outstanding of the kitten is also paid in full prior to the kitten reaching thirteen weeks of age. Should a situation arise that the boarding fee isn’t paid in advance by the time the kitten is twelve weeks of age or the outstanding balance on the kitten prior to the kitten reaching thirteen weeks of age. The deposit will be forfeited & the kitten re- advertised/sold.
RESERVING KITTENS IN ADVANCE
We normally have a large waiting list for kittens. Going on the waiting list doesn’t guarantee you a kitten, as reserving a kitten in advance overrides the waiting list. I contact people on our waiting list via email on the day the litter is born, if there are any kittens left available after reserved in advance kittens are met. You are very welcome to reserve a kitten in advance of the litter being born. A lot of people do this to guarantee a kitten. We only take a maximum of two deposits on the males & one deposit on a female in each litter due to be born. Reserving a kitten in advance is very simple. The deposit can be paid by bank transfer or by cash in person as we no longer accept cheques as payment. Bank transfer is definitely the most popular as it offers confirmation, safety & security. On receipt of the deposit a handwritten receipt will be given or posted confirming all relevant details. If you are considering reserving in advance, We always like to state that if in the very unlikely event that we are unable to provide you with the kitten you requested/reserved, an alternative kitten from another litter would be offered or a full refund of your deposit.
PROCESS OF CHOOSING A KITTEN
Choosing which kitten isn't very easy especially when there are more than one of the same sex & colour. Over the years we have tried several different systems of identifying the kittens once the new owner has chosen without much success. We don't like to use collars as there are associated risks with that especially in a kitten. The process we use for new owners making their choice is very simple & we have been using the process for several years now. We let new owners make their choice on the day of collection in the order that they were reserved. For example, first to reserve whether you reserve in advance or regardless of what age the kitten was when you reserved, would be first to collect on the day of collection & make their choice. Second to reserve would be second to collect on the day of collection & make their choice. Third to reserve would be third to collect & make their choice and so on. This order would never change under any circumstance. Obviously if the litter has mixed colours it is very easy to make your selection very early on. We hope that everybody reading this understands the process as it is a very simple process that everyone to date has been happy with.
